"Acacia" Mulberry Silk Dress

GREENGREY

The simplicity of the shape results from research aimed at creating a no-waste garment. Four rectangular pieces drape over the body. The dress is cut by hand through cauterization and then ecologically hand-printed with carefully selected fresh spring acacia leaves. These leaves were personally handpicked by the designer in the forest, selected one by one, and transferred onto the fabric in a natural and permanent way. Acacia symbolizes the immortality of the soul. The unique piece is entirely stitched with safety pins—a signature of AtellierSeptem. Each pin is applied one by one and then permanently fastened to prevent any damage to the fabric or harm to the wearer. This lengthy process, demanding precision and patience, symbolizes sewing wounds with iron wire and the strength to embrace the inevitable while fighting for what you believe in.
