Operating out of his Parisian atelier since 2002, Isaac Sellam has dedicated his practice to the surgical modification of leather. The designer treats the material as a living substrate for chemical and structural experimentation. This approach manifests in the application of rigorous surface treatments, ranging from traditional within the niche object-dyeing to complex heat-reactive and reflective coatings that fundamentally alter the visual properties of the leather, as seen in the Neophyte Reflective Copper Padded Parka.

A signature element of the brand’s history is the utilisation of industrial reinforcement. Using a distinctive stapling technique, originally developed to ensure extreme durability, metal components such as conveyor belt clips are fused directly with the organic hide. This method creates a rigid, spine-like articulation visible in his asymmetric jackets, effectively merging the biological texture of the material with the cold precision of metal.
