Reinhard Plank

In the process of designing hats, Reinhard Plank designs characters. Working with natural materials and traditional Tuscan techniques, he experiments with reshaping, distressing, dyeing, and painting - to give each piece its own soul. 

His work produces a contemporary look that avoids excessive historicism and conservatism while retaining the discipline of classical craft and utilising antique machinery. Plank draws inspiration from the artists of the past. His hats balance between structure and irregularity, the past and the present.
