Amy Glenn’s (also known as A147G) work can be described as nothing less than sculptural. On the macro scale, akin to Basquiat, she utilizes heavy shapes and icons, such as a comma, as a basis for her work (creating a comma-shaped ring).
On a micro scale, she pays grand attention to texture research, creating casts out of highly textural primary materials, such as wood or horn, to give the final object a trompe l’oeil feel of a texture that doesn’t belong to it (such as silver with a wood or horn texture).
